By Public Transport:
The closest train station is Petersham Train Station, which is on the Inner West and South Lines.. You can catch a connecting train at Central, Burwood or Strathfield. Once you are at Petersham Train Station, walk up Railway Street and cross Parramatta Road. It is about a ten minute walk to our offices.
If you are coming by bus you can catch the 440 or 438 from the City. It will stop at Norton street.
By Car:
If you are driving to Leichhardt, there is free off-street parking available on Elswick and Albert Streets, a short walk from our offices. If you are heading west along Parramatta Road, turn right onto Norton street as the next right hand turn is not until Ashfield.
Training Room Facilities
The training room is air conditioned with a whiteboard and data projector.
Each trainee has access to a broadband connected computer, enabling the access to web based email clients.
All trainees are provided with a folder to take home which contains a CD of manuals, the Course Presentation and the Course Workshops.
What to Expect on the Day
Training courses commence at 9:00am and usually conclude by 4:30pm.
We provide you with a folder to keep containing course notes and workshops.
At the beginning of the day, trainees are introduced to each other and familiarised with the Training Facility. The course is taught via a PowerPoint presentation and via interactive computer demonstrations, and regular workshops and reviews are held throughout the day.
Your day finishes with a practical and theory assessment which you can choose to have graded with a % mark if desired. The assessments vary in time but may last between 40 minutes to an hour and a half for more advanced courses. Certificates are issued one to two days after the completed course.
Catering
Tea, coffee, juice and soft drinks are available throughout the day, as are a range of biscuits and lollies.
For one day courses, lunch is provided from a local Italian cafe and may be eaten in the training room or outside in the tranquil courtyard of our renovated Church building.
For two day courses, on the second day we provide a restaurant meal at the Italian Forum in Leichhardt.
If you have any special dietary requirements please let your trainer know.
Cancellations and Late Attendance
Please note that should you need to cancel your booking we require a minimum of 48 hours notice. If you cancel with less than 48 hours notice your training units will not be refunded. Please contact the Squiz office if you need to discuss your attendance.
In addition, please contact Squiz if you are going to be late for a course, so that your trainer can be informed.
Easy access
The training centre is housed in an historic church building that is not currently wheelchair accessible. Please advise if you need wheelchair access and we can arrange for an individual session to take place in our production office that has onsite parking and lift access.
