Maximise productivity and enable efficient navigation of information.
"As organisations continue their inevitable move towards browser-centric information management, powerful, fully-integrated search will play an increasingly important role."
2010 revealed a fundamental shift in how clients and vendors see the CMS and Search marketplaces. There has been a growing realisation that the two are essentially inseparable and trying to treat them as disconnected components of a web solution simply isn't an effective way forward.
Utilising search engine expertise pioneered by scientists at Australia’s CSIRO, Squiz has developed a search engine interface leverages information from multiple repositories, to maximise productivity and to enable efficient navigation of information. Features include;
Contextual Navigation
Contextual Navigation enables users to explore vast volumes of information efficiently and intuitively by providing real time dynamic navigational sub-topics related to their search terms. The sub-topics are derived using a patented technology that analyses the search terms and the information being searched. Contextual Navigation saves time, enables better decision making and improves user-experience by easing the task of accessing information.
Featured Pages
Featured Pages (i.e. best bets) are returned at the top of a results page when triggered by specific keywords. The specified pages are promoted as the most likely page users are looking for.
Suggested alternatives of search terms
Squiz Search can also suggest alternatives when typographical errors are made. It has a spellchecker, a thesaurus, support of phrase searching and stemming (grammatical variations) in addition to key word searching.
Index content from both Squiz Matrix and Squiz CMS
Squiz Search has the capacity to index and search content across multiple Squiz CMS and Squiz Matrix systems from any search page.
