Support

Squiz's Support Division is dedicated to helping our existing clients, and is based in Hobart.

Working in the Support Division is a multi-dimensional role suitable for someone who can multi-task, and loves talking to people about technology. Squiz Support Staff are skilled web professionals who can trouble-shoot and solve problems through the application of reasoning and technical experience.
The support team performs web content management, software configuration, client consultation, quality assurance, and system troubleshooting. Team members generally have skills in the areas of website design, programming (PHP) and database support for web applications (PostgreSQL and Oracle), and system administration (primarily Linux).

Web Design

Squiz’s team of skilled and experienced website designers love the challenge of providing clients with a world class online image, in addition to outstanding print material. Our designers have to balance cutting edge creativity with client desires, issues of browser compatibility, speed of download and intuitive interface design, as well as considering different printing presses, stock, colour, and finishes. Their skills include Flash, Photoshop/Illustrator, HTML and multimedia integration, knowledge of CSS, and usability consulting.

Squiz offers server administration, hosting services and architecture consulting to its clients through our sys-admin team. Our administrators can all demonstrate a good understanding of server security issues and web relevant protocols; they can program confidently using more than one language (e.g. PERL or Bash scripting), have experience with database management and with high availability systems, great communication skills, and generally are so passionate about server administration that they run a small server farm at home for fun.
